Market Radar Methodology

FVG Setup Search & Screener

The FVG Setup finds the newest still-active Fair Value Gap on the selected timeframe when the current close is inside the gap or making a controlled directional retest. It is deliberately simpler than FVG Reaction: a lower-timeframe FVG and reversal pattern are optional context, not entry requirements.

Detection Focus

  • Newest active selected-timeframe FVG
  • Current close inside or near the zone
  • Far FVG boundary has not been wick-mitigated
  • Directional retest tolerance

Quality Signals

  • FVG size
  • Zone recency
  • Current price location
  • Clear far-boundary invalidation

Invalidation

  • Bullish FVG is wick-mitigated through its lower boundary
  • Bearish FVG is wick-mitigated through its upper boundary
  • Price materially exceeds the directional retest tolerance
