Symmetrical triangle context
A symmetrical triangle compresses between lower highs and higher lows. Since the shape is balanced, Market Radar relies heavily on the prior trend and the actual break direction before assigning a continuation variant.
The scanner looks for clean compression rather than random overlapping candles. A symmetrical triangle should narrow toward a decision area.
- Lower highs
- Higher lows
- Balanced compression
- Direction decided by context and break behavior
Quality model
Quality improves when both boundaries are respected and volume contracts into the apex. It weakens when price expands before a trigger or creates repeated false breaks.
The pattern page explains the methodology; scanner results should still include the final direction, score, and invalidation level.
