Purpose of the trend template
The Minervini-style trend template is a filtering framework. It asks whether a stock is in a constructive trend before deeper setup analysis begins. Price position, moving-average order, and longer-term trend direction are all part of the filter.
The goal is to focus attention on names that already show leadership characteristics instead of searching for setups in weak or directionless charts.
- Price above key moving averages
- Shorter averages above longer averages
- Long-term trend remains constructive
- Relative strength supports the price action
Where it fits in Market Radar
Aventra uses this concept as a leadership and trend-quality layer. A stock can pass the trend template but still need a better base, pivot, volume profile, or risk boundary before it becomes a cleaner watchlist candidate.
The template is therefore a filter, not a complete setup on its own.
