ICT Fair Value Gap (FVG) Reversal Setup

The ICT Fair Value Gap Reversal Setup combines an active directional imbalance with a same-direction Double, Triple, Head and Shoulders, Higher Low, or Lower High reversal structure.

How an ICT FVG reversal setup forms

An FVG reversal setup begins with an active bullish or bearish fair value gap. Aventra then looks for reversal pivots created after that zone formed, so an older and unrelated chart low or high cannot qualify the current reaction.

The reversal confirmation may be a Double Bottom or Top, Triple Bottom or Top, Inverse or standard Head and Shoulders, Higher Low, or Lower High. The directional pivot must overlap the gap or remain within the configured zone tolerance.

How to review the candidate

Review whether the FVG is still structurally valid, whether the reversal pivots are properly separated, and whether the latest close has already moved too far from the final pivot. A valid scanner result is a research candidate rather than a completed trading signal.

The far edge of the gap and the reversal structure provide practical invalidation context.
