ICT Inverse Fair Value Gap (IFVG) Setup

The ICT Inverse Fair Value Gap Setup identifies an imbalance invalidated by a close through its far boundary, then retested as support or resistance on the same selected timeframe.

What makes an ICT inverse FVG

An inverse fair value gap starts as a normal imbalance. Price later closes through its far boundary, invalidating the original directional role, and the same area can then behave as support or resistance from the opposite side.

Aventra scans the selected timeframe for that close-through event and a later retest. It does not require a second timeframe to classify the IFVG.

IFVG quality and invalidation

Cleaner candidates have a visible displacement gap, a decisive invalidation close, and a recent retest near the flipped zone. A weak or distant retest reduces the usefulness of the structure.

The setup fails when price closes back through the far side of the inverse zone or moves materially beyond the active retest area.
