How Aventra defines the ICT OTE dealing range
The ICT Optimal Trade Entry setup uses an established directional swing range. A bullish range is measured from a confirmed low to a later high; a bearish range is measured from a confirmed high to a later low.
The impulse must close through a confirmed opposing swing. Aventra records it as BOS when it continues the preceding structure or CHoCH/MSS when it changes the preceding structure, then checks whether price retraces into the 62% to 79% OTE band. The 70.5% level is the central reference and the origin swing must remain intact.

OTE context and limitations
The OTE band describes a retracement location, but Aventra requires the range impulse to confirm structure with a body-close BOS or CHoCH/MSS. FVG, Order Block, or liquidity-sweep context can improve quality but is treated as confluence rather than the definition of OTE.
The setup is invalidated if price breaches the dealing-range origin or no longer trades near the active retracement zone.
